Santa Anita Park opens annually on December 26, with racing until early July.  Live racing is generally Thursday through Sunday, and on holiday Mondays.

Santa Anita occupies approximately 320 acres at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains. Its landmark 1,100-foot-long Grandstand seats 26,000 guests.  The park like grounds and infield area accommodate in excess of 50,000 guests.

Behind the scenes, 61 barns are capable of housing more than 2,000.  Santa Anita Park also boasts a complete equine hospital.
